We were contacted by our lender who needed the purchase contract in order to move forward with the loan approval.?

The lender stated that when they were trying to get in touch with the agent, he stated he was out of town but that he would provide that document ASAP. Almost a week and a half went by and again, the lender knowing these things are time sensitive contacted us and asked us to try and contact the agent. That particular evening he stated he would have the document ready.?

When finally pushed he stated there was no purchase contract because we were not in escrow. We contacted the listing agent to try and comprehend what was happening and he stated that it was all verbal agreements and because we were taking too long, that his sellers decided to move forward with another offer.?

Documents were signed on the offer, the sellers accepted the offer, and it was at the point when the lender asked for the purchase contract that we found out. I will try to give more details if you need any more.?
