My name is Timothy C. Evans and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Pennsylvania and Texas. Also I am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Pennsylvania and have 26 years of practice. Recently I moved my practice to State College, Pennsylvania, from the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area to be closer to my family. I received my Master of Divinity in 1983 from Oral Roberts University School of Theology and Missions in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Later I received my Masters of Science in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M University: Commerce, Texas in 1987.
Areas of specialty include depression, mood disorders, substance abuse and addiction issues, grief therapy, stress management, adjustment to life stressors such as empty nest, care giving for senior family members or care giving for those who have family members with mental health issues. Additional credentials: NCC, NCACII, IAADC.
I did a year residency at the Baylor University Medical Center in Clinical Pastoral Education. I was the past president of the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter and State Board Member of the Christian Counselors of Texas. I provide family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy with a sensitivity to faith based issues.
