Nike Builds Online Motivational Community Through Twitter

Nike is engaging its fans to build a motivational community via an engaging online and in-store campaign. The ?Make It Count? campaign urges the public to share personal pledges on Twitter via the hashtag #makeitcount.?The campaign stars a number of the UK?s top athletes making personal pledges for 2012. Athletes such as Mark Cavendish and Paula Radclliffe have contributed their personal motivations ? and the pledges have been printed across posters of the training athletes to be displayed in stores.

Created by Wieden + Kennedy London and AKQA, the campaign includes a series of posters shot by photographer Adam Hinton:

We wanted to show the sheer hard work and determination these athletes put into the sports they love. ?To be at the top of their game requires enormous amounts of blood, sweat and tears and they train hard, pushing themselves to the limit to get there.

Several videos, featuring ?Mo Farah and Rio Ferdinand,?have also been created for the campaign.

Shoppers can also be photographed at Nike?s flagship London stores with their handwritten pledges and share these photos online or have it put up at the stores.
